Hi, Looking in my G4 manual for specs on which kind of CD-Roms to get to burn upon.
Nothing really there. The ones I got with the machine are Verbatim 1X-16X. The Sony ones I got are 1X-24X. All the manual says is disc diameters supported=12cm and has CD-Rom on the list of supported data formats. Nothing though about whether it's a 16x or 24x drive though. the sales guy thought the disks would be happy as long as the drive was within 1x and 24x. How does the Mac OS internal burner software do? All I need it for is to archive, but I need the data to be good. How reliable are the Mac CD burners? I am a complete newbie about burning.
