Hi folks, I'm contemplating upgrading my OS from 9.0.4 to OS X on my G3 300MHz MT. I have three external SCSI devices and a serial printer. I don't think any of the corresponding manufacturers have OS X drivers available. Same goes for the manufacturer of the serial printer.
If these all work in 9.0.4, what are the chances that they will work in Classic mode? Better yet, how much of a pain would it be to have a SCSI scanner and have to fire up Classic 9.2 to scan a document and then be able to manipulate it in the sexy world of OS X? Similarly, how much of a pain would it be to prepare documents in OS X and then go to Classic OS to print them (or is this even possible?)? New OS: $200 Cdn New USB printer, USB scanner, firewire CD-RW... Man, the sexiness of OS X is gonna cost me a bundle. I think my rock-solid 9.0.4 is looking better and better to me all the time.
