Hi Had similar problems on my iBook. I downloaded some servicepack's and updates from the MS site Mactopia, trashed the internet prefs. and the tcp/ip prefs. (in the preference folder locaded in the system folder) before i innstalled the download's and all is now running smoooothly
if you dont allredy have 9.2.2 innstalled you should consider updating. i have a cable modem whith my beige and found the 9.2.2 an inprovement S�var > I have a B&W G3 w/ 350 MHZ CPU.
