Have been doing this on our beige G3 for two years now. Even the original 233 mhz processor worked fine. The playback window in iMovie won't look very good but that has nothing to do with the finished product. I did learn that virtual memory has to be turned off. You will need a much larger drive since digital video consumes one gig of drive space for every five minutes of video.
