A while back I wrote of my plans to upgrade my recently-purchased DT
Beige G3 to a faster processor, likely a 400 MHZ G3 (from it's 300 MHZ). I
had concerns that I had heard from at least one eBay seller that a Rev A,
which I have (ROM revision $77D.40F2), may not work with faster processors.
Others said they didn't think this was true. There was also a problem with
certain voltage regulators, but I dont have one of the problem ones.

Just to follow-up I received a NewerTech MAXpowr G3-G3 ZIF today and
just installed it. This is a 400 MHZ w/ 1 mb backside cache. It seems to be
working just fine. I bought it at eBay auction for $76 + $10 shipping. I
figure I can sell the old one for about $30 for a net cost of $56, a pretty
cheap upgrade.
