Take a pencil eraser and ease the contacts on the ram. Do both sides. What happens is that there is an oxidation that builds up and thus your ram quits working. When you have reinstalled the ram, without you cleaning the contacts it does clean the contacts but it is short lived. I have to do this about every 6 months or so.
