I found some good font sites, and even had an exchange in emails. Customer service actually answered my email when I couldn't find the font in their list. I sent them pdf's of the font and a picture of the font emblem. I could see the font OK on my screen, but couldn't print it because the outline was damaged or missing, so I took screen shots. We finally concluded that it was a custom font. Either it was made by an individual or it was proprietary, made by a company just for an app. Your best bet is to show a sample. There are millions of fonts out there, but only really a few thousand. They have different names. Try a screen shot. I hope OS X hasn't done away with that.
