I have a B&W 400 V2 To be honest I dont know that much about video technology in relation to graphix cards etc... and my only options have always been PCI's cards.
My main use for a video card of any real size, is a Glide based game called Unreal Tournament. 3dfx have been the only 3d cards Ive used, for availability and $ they are hard to beat <Im running os9.2>. To be honest I havent really seen much of a preformance jump between my Voodoo3 and my Voodoo5 < in my 9600 - never put the V3 in my B&W > and there doesnt really seem to be much difference between the V5 in the 9600 and B&W < placed in the 66mhz slot and placed on "Fastest preformance" in the 3dfxMacTools. < note being...if you have a voodoo3 and are thinking on a Voodoo5 (on a mac) ..ask other current users if worth the $ for the upgrade> My ? is being that I only have 2 real options <maybe a third-still researching> What would be the advantage of trading a Voodoo5 in for a Radeon Mac or the stripped version 7000. and/or does anyone have any experience in flashing a Geforce 2 MX PCI card from PC -> Mac to work in a B&W <os9.2> as I mentioned I dont know much about the technology difference between the three..other than they use different accelerator/engines. is Rage any better than Glide or others or is it more dependent on the type engine the program uses and that they arent that great when cross platform < assuming it is supported > -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
