I have an Epson 600 printer which has worked well for several years. Now it will not print unless I select its icon from the Chooser before printing. Once selected it will print while the Mac is on but if I restart I have to go to the Chooser again. Previously once Epson was selected it would stay selected until I changed printers.
This started after a clean install of 9.1, which did solve some other problems, on a beige G3/233. Also the paper rollers seem to be squealing more frequently; it's the kind of sound that if it were metal you'd oil it. What's up? Old age? or...? Any help appreciated.
