Just to say that I run X on a beige g3/233 dt with 416mb ram and find it acceptably fast. I have a ibook next to it, also running x, and find no real world difference. The only slowness seems to be built into the X email program so that both machines will spin beach balls when getting mail. Something I imagine Jaguar may address.
