Hi,
the philosofical point is, that you shouldn't charge for an
upgrade the same price that for a new sale.
If you do that, you are punishing your loyal customers that have been
buying your products probably over a long time.
Even if they charged $99 (not $69) for the update, I would probably
grumble and buy it, but paying the full price is against my
principles.
Of course, if you are still using OS9, you should pay the full price,
it is a different OS.
In accordance with that, I have jumped the OSes so:
original vers. for the SE -> 6.03 -> 6.07 -> 7.1 -> 7.5.5 -> 8.1 -> 9.1 -> 10.1
Personally, I will wait for the next version that brings something
that I really want to have.
Why upgrade ? I will pay anyway the full price every time.
Rgds, Fernando
