Make sure you have the correct address number in your TCP/IP.  Verify with
your IP if necessary.  Should be four sets of numbers separated by dots,
ie., 111.222.333.44    Even if you  have the correct numbers, delete same
and retype, save if requested, and restart.   It's possible for these
things to get corrupted over time although I would think corrupted domain
numbers would be relatively rare....but, ya never know.
Also, I haven't looked but if there is a TCP/IP file in your System
Folder/preference file, trashing it and restarting it may cure the problem.
Just make sure you first write down any info that has to be entered such as
domain numbers in case it's needed.  Obviously, there's some part of what
your modem is sending to the IP that is wrong and is blocking your Send
Mail process.
