because wise men don't fall for claims of the self aggrandizing and
foolish arguments that present a false "either or" predicate. mr
limbaugh is clearly trying to get another advertiser, there's no reason
apple should take his claims at face value or assume he'd be a good
investment.

picking venues for apple's ads is probably handled largely by a pr firm,
who's job it is to know where best to spend the ad dollar to get the
most value. it seems mr limbaugh doesn't seem worthy to many
advertisers, possibly only to those who would rabidly support him if it
wasn't in the best interest of the company itself. i believe his market
share is much, much smaller than it once was, the fact he's still on the
air doesn't mean he has allot of listeners, mearly that station managers
haven't found something better to put on. just like so many bad and
unpopular tv programs that stay on the air because of existing
contracts, the inability to find something better, and the general
shortage of good content when there are so many radio and tv stations
competing for content and viewers. also of course, most tv and radio
stations are now owned by large corporations who often use their control
of the media to support those with views they find helpful to their own
position, even when the public gets tired of it. if a company has some
good products it can continue to dump the excess bad products they
produce for along time, even without a personal bias. of course as most
mac owners would argue, the popularity of a product often has little to
do with it's quality. mr limbaugh is an example of a low quality
product which was popular for awhile, before people started realizing
how empty his shows are. i think mr. limbaugh's comments are just part
of his death thralls as his career continues a slow downward spiral,
painful for someone who once rose quickly.

Ernest Hemingway once said "The world is a fine place, and worth
fighting for", i agree with the second part (from the movie s7ven, and
my own sentiments). Philip Stortz, Mad Scientist At Large, available to
save worlds large or small, or at least to try, to fight the good fight.
