check ebay, sometimes, if people haven't gone auction happy you can get
a real bargain there.  of course, you should always check someone's
feedback history (not just their rating sum, read the comments, some are
usually from morons but sometimes people who know how ebay works have
real problems, look for someone who's been on ebay for awhile, not
someone who just started 2 weeks ago!) before bidding.  you should also
consider joining the swap list and asking for a bargain there, no matter
what you want several people can usually provide it with prices ranging
from fantastic to fantastically inflated.  to subscribe to the swap list
go to the lowend mac site for complete instructions.  most people on the
swap list are extremely helpful and honest, and some will almost give a
machine away (actually, several of people are giving away older macs for
shipping or if people will just pick them up).
