I have a B&W G3 with a bad motherboard. I can buy a replacement, but the one source I found has only REV 2 and my existing is REV 1. Can I interchange them? I found an explanation of the difference between the two boards and one item caught my eye. The IDE controller chip on the REV 2 board is different from the REV 1. Will the original 6GB HD work OK with the REV 2 controller?
Also, I bought a used 500 mhz DP G4 and have to temporarily move the abovementioned HD to it to get the files transferred. Can I simply plug it into the internal cables as a second drive without any issues or special setup or is there more to it than that? Help from the list is much appreciated!
