I have a similar set-up, and I voted no. And for 25% of the cost of a 400 MHz G4, I got a fully compatible Mercury G3 333 MHz/1MB cache. Using the dealer's chart, I oc'd to 400 MHz but no increase in bus speed (PCI issues, I think). Runs 10.1.5 very well. The G4 might cause heating and shorter PS life. Unless you need Altivec to 'pay the mortgage', then a G4 isn't worth it. George
