Yeah, that's what I see happening. Though that may not have to happen since 
it
seems that IBM developed its own AltiVec-compatible Vector Processing solution.

It still boggles the mind as to why Apple would switch to Wintel. Perhaps 
in the future we
might see x86 *and* PPC-based Macs as predicted by Andrew Welch on the AppleInsider
forums, but for the near future, we're staying with PPC. And that is a Good 
Thing.
