I (myself) have been more accustomed to the look and "feel" of the 9.2 as I cut my teeth on OS 8 on a Centris 650 (prior to adding the upgrade card). > > Mac OS X is what brought me back to the Mac. The dock is interesting but I see little difference to the right hand corner "finder" where you can call up "hidden" apps that are in the background. > Having access to the Terminal is the icing on the > cake. I can wait to get my hands on OS 10.2. Just my 2 cents.... Not being too proficient I am at a loss to understand what you mean by "having access to the terminal". On that note I am puzzled as I embarrassingly admit I don't know what "gui" stands for either. I am not saying that OS 9.2 and earlier are better, I am just more used to how they worked and as such felt more comfortable using them. I will say that running the program, Seti at home, runs approximately 10-20% faster on 10.1.3 than it does in 9.2.2. I am puzzled about that one. This is one program I like to use to determine the speed of the computer as it is relative to other processors and other OS's. Kevin -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
