> Is it possibly the 8GB partition problem (even on a SCSI?)
I reformatted the Drive into two partitions, the first being 7GB. I tried
again to run it, using System Disk 2.6.2. And of course tried booting with
the C key down.
I then went to Xlr8yourmac and read again on Xpostofacto. Noting possible
issues for X and Beige G3/DT with G4 etc, I decided to try Xpostofacto.
SO, following instructions, I ran it and chose the boot from: I tried the CD
as instructed, and got the error that it is NOT an HFS+ formatted disk.
I could not choose an Install To Disk, since the first part of a boot from
section could not be selected.
My though now is that my CD is bad. That is why I was getting the message on
the CD Boot up: Not an HFS+ Partition on the initial screen and then it goes
back to the regular disk for boot.
I will wait until I get Jaguar in and see if it does install. If not, then I
will assume I have a problem with the system here.
Thanks for all those who have offered help here, this is why Mac users are a
happier bunch, they have more friends!
John
