All the recent talk about beige G3s, upgrades, and OS X performance has
me wanting to run some benchmarks. I have a beige G3/266 with a stock 4
GB hard drive running OS X v10.1.5. I also have a Seagate Barracude and
IBM DeskStar drive that I can test in it, thanks to Carbon Copy Cloner.

I've finally found a benchmark program, SpeedRun PPC, that measures all
the usual stuff and runs under Mac OS X, so I've got the software.

What I'm interested in is acquiring or borrowing faster G3 processors
and/or PCI video cards for testing purposes. If you have a pulled G3 or
ATI video card you'd be willing to loan or donate to Low End Mac for
testing purposes, please contact me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] --
do not reply to the list.

Thank you.

The more acceptance that technology gets, the harder it is to change.
If enough people are stuck at the same level, they think it's the truth.
