My cousin comments on our discussion: Key is: "if different cpu resources are involved" AND all other things (compiler/assembler, threads/tasks, addressing of matrix etc etc etc) are supportive. Very messy but under some conditions, worth it. All this stuff was argued to death in the late 60's / 70's until I was sick of it.
