Machine Configuration:
B & W G3 400MHz REV A
Sonnet ATA 100 PCI Card Firmware 2.2.3
IBM 40 GB HDD connected to the sonnet card
512MB RAM
Radeon 7000 video in the 66Mhz PCI
Atto PCI SCSI card with IBM 9.1GB HDD
I've tried to install Jaguar on to the 40 GB HDD, clean install and
upgrade from 10.1.5.
It installs without any problems, but after rebooting a couple of times
90% of the time will hang on the gray screen. Also when I do get it to
boot the Help app is extremely slow and sometimes wont work at all.
If I install Jaguar on to the SCSI HDD it will work, but it will be
slow (slow HDD)
It will also work if I connect the HDD to the onboard IDE controller,
but I have a REV A, that's the reason why I bought the ATA 100 PCI card.
It seems to me that the problem is the ATA 100 Card, although it works
very well with 10.1.5 and the information on the sonnet web site
suggests that it will work with Jaguar.
Has anyone experienced this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
