Hi Amber, I had the same thing on my G4 800 , I called Apple and they 
recomended to test by removing any pci card not initially installed 
by them. I found that my scsi card (adaptec 29xxxx )was doing it.
By dissabling sleep when in OS 9 the problem was solved.
