Slot load DV model (unknown speed) in a school setting can't get a DHCP address from the server, AppleTalk may or may not work, may or may not boot, hangs just before the hard drive shows usually. Even with the CD if it accepts the 'c' key which is about every other or so time. May or may not shut down also hangs just after desktop is cleared. Can 'force quit' the finder and things move on. Even with a fresh Apple only install. Overall slowness, pauses every so many seconds. Ran OK last school year.
Items done already: - Hard drive reformatted (zeroed) and OS 9.2.1 installed - PRAM zapped Hard drive was cleared for other reasons, and it did cause an improvement in the problem for the starting and shut down.
