I have a G3/266 mini tower. Recently the "personality card" which supports the audio/video input/output died on the video end (audio remains alive). Resetting the card in its slot -- as I've read this can come loose -- did not result in correction. I ignorantly snatched up a G3 desktop model off ebay for nothing, just to pull the personality card from it and replace the video-dead card on the minitower -- but, it's a totally different unit in the G3 desktop. The card in this minitower is huge and fits into a slot on the motherboard, whereas on the G3 desktop version, its a tiny box with a ribbon going to the board. So I'm back to square one trying to find where I can get one of these AV personality cards, without having to buy a whole, used G3 mini tower somewhere and pick its bones. Anyone with any knowledge of these and where I might buy a replacement, please let me know!
