What you picked up off ebay is a much better unit. I'd have to agree with
Peter in that it sounds like your minitower is an 8600
(http://www.macgurus.com/products/motherboards/mbppc8600.php), and not a
Beige G3 minitower 
(http://www.macgurus.com/products/motherboards/mbppcg3mini.php). If what you
picked up off ebay has the AV card, I'd switch to that unit and start using
it.
