Something strange is happening on my system =( it started with my SonicWorx software locking up when trying to open a file < least thats the first time I noticed it > but it seems this is happening with every program tested so far. < photoshop and something else > it happens when the finder window comes on to open/load files .ya knopw when you choose the open option in the file pulldown. It doesnt do it right away, but I keep it open till it locks up < about 5-15 secs> I havent a clue, rebuilding desktop and pram zap doesnt seem to help. I knew one day I would have to do a fresh os install on the HD < start from scratch > but I was hoping to do it on a new/used hard drive so it would be easier to put everything back onto it using two <master/slave> anyone have a 20g+ ide/7200 they are ready to part with =)?
So Im wondering if anyone knows of such a situation as above and a fix for it.? guess I need to go back up some stuff for the big dump - seems my only way out at this point. thanks for any advice/. Ralph I thought it might have been my newly installed g4/400 zif overclocked to 450 but it is still running a average 50c ( I remember my zif upgraded c600 ran in the 60's even with a fan and never had a overheating issue.) -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
