Yes, we are spoiled by the old Mac OSs. I have been using UNIX and Macs for 
14 years and am about to spring for OS X for the first time. All that has 
been said about the utility of the CMD line, ROOT priveleges, GREP, VI etc. 
is true -- very useful, and once learned you will not want to go back. I 
hardly ever use the UNIX GUI -- it gets in the way. There is a learning 
curve, but try and take it one thing at a time, and you will grow into it. No 
comparison between UNIX and DOS CMD mode BTW. / dave watkins
