I'm using a CenDyne 16x12x40x, purchased at Fry's for $59. After the $30 rebate it
cost $29. It's bootable in 9.2.2 and 10.1.x. Disk burning is not available in 9.2.2,
but it works in 10. Not a problem, since I use Toast most of the time.

OS 10.1.5 seems to support a wide variety of burners. If it's not supported in
whatever OS you're using, you can always hack Apple's CDROM extension or use a second
party driver. Intech's CD/DVD Speed Tools is my favorite.
