tragically that's the trend in all things in the u.s., and i believe many foreign countries as well more and more. there was a surge of freedom which scared the begeebies out of the authorities and elite, and as usual they've used thier money and power to posion things at best. ironically, the "politically correct" garbage, started by liberals who were morons, helped promote this bassically conservative move (not that all liberals are stupid, but there is an arrogant and ignorant component in all groups, it's essential for self rightousness and intolerance). but this is an off topic and basically political so we'd best stop hashing it out on list. it's all part of the pendulum swing, best know when to duck if you want to keep your' head, hopefully mc carthyism won't come back full force, but things are headed that way.
