Are we really talking about a blue and white or is this something else?
Mine is not loud at all, much quieter than my iMac or 4400/200.
Especially after exchanging the original loud and hot dual SCSI hds for
a larger, more modern IDE.

<The Blue is sitting on an oak desk which even gives the sound an even
deeper
sonority. Is there anything we can do to reduce the concert?>

Putting any computer on a wooden desk is going to make it louder than
usual, a lot louder. Put it on a carpeted floor. Or on a piece of carpet
on the desk if it absolutely has to stand on the desk.

Bill
