Reply: Of course - you don't have to put up with that for one minute! Actually, get yourself 6' cable extensions for your monitor, ADB and what else you connect to the case then get something between you and the case by putting it in a cabinet (w/air holes), around a corner or whatever you can figure out. Fan sound is relatively higher in frequency so is pretty directional and you can usually redirect or baffle it to a great extent. And if you can get a quieter Mac fan you may just start to hear the disk drive's - or its replacement you if you acquire one down the road. Don't be afraid to stick little foam or other absorbent pads under Blue's feet to help dampen lower frequency vibration. With sound problems you can get a little anechoic chamber going for yourself. The tendency is to put up with this insidious, stress-producing stimulant when with a little determination it can be abated. I've probably held on to my DT too long but at least it's easy to stow under furniture things things then block the sides with tip-up panels. Shhh.
