Here's your laugh for the day ;-) I have 3 MACs presently reposing in my house - waiting to be repaired - that friends have entrusted to me to me to fix. (That might be a better laugh than the rest of this story.) ;-)
One has a PRAM battery that's dead as a door nail. Since the others are of the same vintage - I thought I might as well replace their batteries, too - as long as I have to take them apart. Went to Radio Shack, this eve, for the batteries. And - since I like to use as fresh a battery as I can get - I checked the expiration dates. They were ALL dated to expire in 2012 ! Every battery in the place. ALL of them ! Which made me wonder - What does Radio Shack or the Israeli company that manufactures the batteries know ??? Does it mean that computers will no longer need betteries after 2012 - or - that people won't be here to use the computers ??? Thoughts of the Mayan calendar abound. I doubt that I'll be here - in 2012 - to find out. If you are - send me a mental message. I'll be out there - somewhere - in the Cosmos - waiting for the answer.
