well, generally in netscape i just drag it to the desktop, works great. you can also click and hold on it and bring down a menu that will let you select to save it, or you can alt click it and it brings up a dialog asking where you want it to go, the last method working with all sorts of links as well (i.e. pdf files, which i often want to save rather than just reading them once in the browser).
