Aloha David
I have a beige G3 / 333 tower that I am using the orange link
+ PCI card with firewire and usb 2...the one that has the internal
USB and Firewire port connections on the card.
I am very pleased with how it works. I have the card with
the 2 ports internal, usb and firwire....I run the cables out the
front of the tower, pulling the blank oover off.
I am using 9.2 and OS 10.1.5 and it works just fine.
Have you tried using it in different slots?
Have you reset the cuda button?
One thing I do with trouble some Macs is to pull everyting
out. Cards, Ram, battery, ziff etc.....all cords, power supply etc.
and let it set for 24 hours min. and usually 48 hours. Re-install
everything. It is amazing how sometimes that corrects the problem.
After restarting, I use the free techtool utlitiy to zap the pram
setting and then rebuild the desktop. Of course this is done only
while in OS9.
If that doesn't do it, try downloading the latest drivers from Orange.
Do you have OSX and OS9 on different partitions?

Hope this helps.

Steve
