See http://www.signamax.com/drivers/g301u.htm which has a table for setting
a 10-dip switch adapter. I think they're all the same (the table is the
same as came with mine, from a different manufacturer).

There are some useful notes here, including "Troubleshooting". They suggest
first try [1,4,5,6,7,8].

Otherwise, referring to the table, in the first column, choose the kind  of
monitor (most likely SVGA will work), then the second column to choose
resolution (the maximum will depend on your video card). Then you have six
choices depending on mode. Just try them all (shutdown, reset, reboot
between changes) till you get one that works.
