Hello: A friend of mine sent me an email this afternoon advising she could not get onto many of the lists due to an apparent configuration. The list she is trying to access is for iMac's. She has a new iMac with OS 10.2 and AOL for OS X as her internet and email provider. When she tried to send messages to this list, they were kicked back as the list says it will only accept plain text messages. Here is a copy of what the bounce said: LIST module reports: Your message cannot be posted. It has the content-type: multipart / alternative, and this list accepts only plain text
MIME-version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart / alternative; X-Mailer: AOL For Mac OSX sub 22 The bounce is showing her content type as "multipart/alternative". She says she thought she was transmitting in plain text. She went into preferences to see if she could change anything to "plain text" but there wasn't anything to change. Are there any OS 10.2 users out there who also happen to have AOL and could tell me what I can do to help her out. Is there a setting that she needs to change in order to send in "plain text"? Where would she go to access that or make the change necessary? I'm a roadrunner and I.E/O.E user and have no experience with AOL or 10.2. Thanks for any help or ideas.
