Beige mac's need software to enable the L2 cache on G4 ZIF's, such as L2CacheConfig from OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/framework.cfm?page=L2CacheConfig.html, or Powerlogix's software http://www.powerlogix.com.
