I just got a Sony CRX215A1 CDRW (48/24/48). Anyone put one of these in a G4?
I'm trying to replace the CDRW drive in my G4/667 with the above. Is there a website which describes the dis-assembly process? Couldn't find anything on xlr8yourmac.com The right panel I can swing down using the lever. I've removed the left panel (using the 4 hex screw, with metric allen wrenches). I'm faced with a thin aluminum sheet. It has a bunch of recessed holes, which seem to have really *tiny* screws. Lots of them. Looks like watchmaker screwdrivers are needed. This is where I get stuck. I don't want to go any further, by doing anything dumb. How do people get rid of the fold-down bezel? (the Sony has it's own eject switch, on the right).
