Over a month ago Mike at xlr8yourmac.com posted that some upgrade manufacturers were 
working on higher speed ZIFs for Beige and B&W G3s. There have been work arounds the 
standard bus multiplier before [such as the PowerBook 1400 ...]. Nevermind the fact 
that a person who buys an 800MHz G4 for their 7500 will never get the performance out 
of the Mac which that processor can do because the subsystem is too slow, the Blue and 
Whites and even Beige G3s have a much stronger subsystem including RAM type and speed, 
system bus, ATA bus, PCI bus, video subsystem and therefore could take more advantage 
of such an upgrade.
