PowerLogix makes a 550Mhz G4 Processor upgrade for the B&W G3. That's the fastest you can get right now. It will set you back $289 dollars. You can also check sonnet technologies for their upgrades. I prefer PowerLogix.
Hi I have a B&W G3 Rev.A and I wanted to upgrade the processor. I know that I need to use the ZIF upgrade but what I want to know is what is the maximum processor upgrade available for the B&W (type and speed -- I am looking mainly for a G4 upgrade) and who makes them? Also what price range should I be looking at for this upgrade for the various types and speed of processor? Any problems that I should be wary of when I upgrade (I'm using OS X.1.5 as my primary OS as well as I will be upgrading to Jaguar in the very near future).
