>Delete all of AOL from your hard drive and use your ISP Configure TCP/IP >from there. That's how I'd start, had I the misfortune of installing AOL.
>>What word processing apps are on the machine you're now using? Gee, not many. Only SimpleText I guess. (yup, just checked) I just got this G3 about a week ago and haven't got the time to install anything. Just finished Installing Netscape, put an old IE on it downloading new IE now. AOL was the first I put since is it one of the few software that can get online in just minutes since it has it own configuration. Everytime I open Remote Access it tells me OpenTpt Remote Access extension is not in the extensions folder when I perfectly know it's there. A bug if you ask me since I Had the same thing happen to me when I installed OS 9.1 on my 8500. BTW can someone send me 9.1 Notepad? I searched for notepad & brings no results. I installed a custom version of the OS because the HD is only 1GB (waiting for a 9GB to come in the mail) and I don't know how to install it by itself, looked in the installer but didn't see it. Can someone point me to the right direction? BTW it is a misfortune to use AOL, however I do have a free account from my husband's (we don't live together) my MacOL account is limited in some ways, and the best place to check AOL mail is the Application itself (AOL NetMail is as slow as hell just like free email accounts on the web which I gave up because of that). BUT I'll be sure not to install it in the new harddrive and boot from this one for when I have to use AOL. Thanks! Liliana -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
