I have a G4 sawtooth with over a gig of ram running 9.2 and 10.1 on partitions of the original hard drive and 10.2 running on IBM slave drive.
typically I run Jag (leaving 10.1 on the other drive if i have complications) recently I noticed that quark would not launch in classic and illustrator wouldn't launch in jag (application itself running off OSX partition). and when i rebooted in OS9 quark would not print (to printer or to pdf). when i restarted in Jag (command-s) so i could run fsck it boots into OS9 and does not recognize the slave drive in system profile saying the driver version is not available and there are no Mac OS partitions on it. had a power outtage a few days ago (but hadn't used quark/illustrator RIGHT after). i have system powered up through a tripp isobar surge protector..could the outtage be the culprit? if so...solutions? thanks folks, chet -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
