General Instructions

           1. Connect the EtherPrint to the network
           (10Base-T or thin net) cable

           2. Connect the printer to the EtherPrint

           4. Power up the printer

           5. Now configure your Administrator to set
           the proper zone

  Adminstrator Installation

When installing your Etherprint you will want to use your
Administrator to assign it zones and name it. Please read the
following to complete this setup process:

1. Insert the Administrator disk into a Macintosh that is in
the zone you wish to place your Etherprint

2. Click on the icon "Etherprint Administrator"

3. It will then show you the available zones, and the printer
name that resides in your specific zone

4. Click on "Configuration"

5. You will then see 4 choices to choose from

6. Choose the appropriate category that you wish to specify
and proceed

NOTE: The "SecurIt feature" is no longer supported on this
device, and it is highly recommended that you do not configure
it.

LEDs and their meaning when installing

The activity light will act as an internal error indicator in
error conditions. The pattern of flashes indicate

certain errors according to the number of flashes, the length
of flash and length of time between flashes.

These error codes, however are only valid BEFORE the printer
finishes its self-test. The patterns are as

follows:

A - 2 quick flashes - RAM error

B - 3 quick flashes - EEPROM error

C - 4 quick flashes - Ethernet chip error

D - 1 flash and a long pause - Ethernet wire or switch
settings

Power supply:

12V 800mA, Center Positive
