Bluetooth connects peripheral devices, such as printers, cell phones,
PDAs, headsets, etc, to each other and to computers without wires. For
example, I can print notes, addresses and web pages from my Bluetooth
cell phone directly to a Bluetooth printer with no intermediary
computer. It is not intended as a substitute or replacement for 802.11
wireless ethernet. It's cheap, it works. It will become ubiquitous.
