I happily returned a 7000 for a refund after SpeedRun or similar (for X) measured the PCI card as three times slower for 2D than the onboard video. Norton had similar results in OS 9. OS X still runs ok but with a 400 MHz G3 (1 MB L2) and 768 MB Ram. Also using Chimera with HTTP pipelining. Don't do 3D apps.
