Dear List:

I am interested in running iDVD2 on my PowerMac G4 466. As such, I wanted to
replace its built-in CD burner with a SuperDrive. I know that Pioneer
manufactures such drive. Their latest incarnation is the DVR-A05. I have
heard from a couple of people that this drive works well in G4 systems which
originally didn't come with one. It is also the same mechanism which Apple
apparently uses in its current crop of G4 Towers.

Lacie recently released its own internal version of the SuperDrive. Does
anyone know if their version uses the same Pioneer mechanism?

Roland :)
