Do NOT quit your browser. Do NOT trash the file. Instead, navigate back to the download site, and start to download again. Somewhere along the line your browser should re-connect. You may have to switch your modem off for a few seconds if the connection can't be made. (happens with my Swann modem under 10.2.3) In Netscape, the file will usually resume where it left off.
