Thanks everyone for sharing and helpful. I'm going to buy a ATA/100 PCI card to see if I can surpass the 8 gig install deal on OSX 10.2. I'm going have to giveup my SCSI PCI 2390 card.
I wonder if Apple purposely did this so beige g3 owners would upgrade. Oh well.
