[My Mac= g3 MT/266 beige] I found my old plaintalk mic and tried to plug it in to the mic socket on the back of my g3 - it is the longer plug type, official apple plaintalk mic and all that but it seemed to be *too long* I didn't want to force it but it didn't want to go in all the way :-/
Now, I found this at the apple site, knowledge base: "Power Macintosh G3 The microphone input jack supports line-level input signals. Apple provided the PlainTalk microphone with these computers. It is a line-level input device with a longer connector than Apple's previous microphone which receives some power from the computer. Other line-level devices were also supported via the microphone input jack on these computers." So what gives? does my Mac use the Plaintalk mic or not? Will a standard PC type mic work [with the shorter plug]? Any help appreciated :-) David -- ****************************************************************** Email me on [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit my web site at http://www.thewiccaman.cwc.net Contact me via: ICQ No: 178823539 MSN Messenger u/n: thewiccaman56 ****************************************************************** 'Write what you want, bottomless, from the bottom of your heart.'
